Alkalinity P AF415 MINIKIT

The Caustic Alkalinity P Minikit is for the determination of caustic Alkalinity and it is based on the tablet count method. Tablets are dissolved in a known volume of liquid until a colour change occurs. A calculation is then used to determine the concentration in mg/l or ppm.

Each MINIKIT is supplied in a flip top case containing a shaker tube, rapid dissolving tablet reagents and instructions.

Uses Tablet Count Method

The test range is 20 - 500 mg/l CaCO3. The caustic (or hydroxide) Alkalinity is a measure of the water up to the pH-value 8.3 (colour change of phenolphthaleine), specifically due to hydroxides.
